An golf technology company has inked a franchise deal to open its first indoor playing facilities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. TruGolf Links Franchising, a subsidiary of TruGolf Holdings Inc., has signed a regional development agreement with Lawrence Township entrepreneur Nick Reimondo. The deal gives Reimondo the right to open 40 of the company's new TruGolf Link concepts in Bucks County and Central and North Jersey. Reimondo said he is actively exploring spaces from Bucks County up through Hoboken, New Jersey, as possible locations for the facilities, which aim to give golfers a space to play indoors during the colder months.

Reimondo said he is actively exploring spaces from Bucks County up through Hoboken, New Jersey, as possible locations for the facilities, which aim to give golfers a space to play indoors during the colder months. “It's always a sad day when you get to the middle of November and it's no longer golf season," he said. "It's gonna be an opportunity to get in there and play. A lot of times we regress as golfers because we don't get that next round in until April, unless we’re traveling for vacation.” Nick Reimondo has signed a regional development agreement to open up to 40 TruGolf Links locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. TruGolf Holdings Inc. With these locations, Reimondo also hopes to provide opportunities for younger generations and those not as familiar with golf to learn the game. Per TruGolf Links' expansion plans, Reimondo will first open a flagship location in the area. He will then add standard facilities throughout the territory, either self-owned or owned by other independent franchisees. TruGolf Links facilities will include at least five golf simulator bays utilizing the company's software, a club cleaning station, a pro shop, and a bar and dining area. The brand's flagship location in the region is expected to span at least 5,000 square feet and feature a double-size simulator bay with stadium seating that can be used for events. Its standard facilities will span at least 3,800 square feet. Reimondo said he does not have a specific location in mind for the flagship, or a timeline for when he'd like to have it up and running. The dining portion of TruGolf Links facilities will include meals and alcoholic beverages. Reimondo said TruGolf is currently working with a chef to develop the menu and declined to share more details about the culinary program at this time.

TruGolf Links will offer membership programs and be open for non-members. Reimondo said the format of the membership programs have not been determined. Other specifics about TruGolf Links' New Jersey and Pennsylvania locations, including the hours of operation and expected staff count for each facility, are still being finalized. Some of those details, Reimondo said, will be contingent on the markets where they open. Reimondo is open to a variety of different real estate formats for these locations, whether that be in outdoor shopping centers, malls or standalone buildings. The New Jersey entrepreneur brings with him 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including previous positions with Hyatt, Starwood Hotels and Deloitte. Most recently, he operated his own package delivery business through the Amazon Delivery Service Partner Program.
